Property Tax Payment Information
Property taxes in Marshall County will be due Spring May 12, 2025 and Fall November 10, 2025. Payments can be made in the Treasurer’s Office located at 112 W. Jefferson Room 206, Plymouth, Indiana during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A drop box is located on the south side of the building. PAYMENTS PUT IN DROP BOX AFTER 4:00 P.M., MAY 12TH AND NOVEMBER 10TH, WILL BE CONSIDERED LATE. PENALTIES WILL BE APPLIED. We ask that NO cash be put in the drop box. If you would like a receipt, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Payments may be in the form of cash, check, or money order. Credit and debit cards are taken in the office and online at billpay.forte.net/marshallcotreasurer/, but will require a convenience fee of 2.55% or $2.00 for eCheck. These fees are retained by the company providing the card processing service. This service will be shut down at 4:00 p.m. on May 12th and November 10th to allow penalties to be assessed.
If payments are mailed, they should be sent to Marshall County Treasurer’s Office, 112 W. Jefferson Rm 206, Plymouth, Indiana 46563. Spring payments must be postmarked by May 12, 2025. Fall payments must be postmarked by November 10, 2025. If you are mailing your payment on the last day of collections, we strongly suggest you take the envelope inside the post office and have it hand cancelled. Payments received with a postmark after the due date are subject to penalties. (Meter dates are NOT acceptable)
Banks: Tax payments can be made at all Everwise locations, First Merchant Bank in Bourbon, First Farmers Bank and Trust in Culver, and the Town of Bremen Clerk-Treasurer’s office, two weeks prior to the due dates (checks only and must have statement coupon) – Spring begins Monday, April 28, 2025; Fall begins Monday, October 27, 2025.
Bank bill pay checks are NOT recommended. The envelopes the banks use to mail your payment are not processed through the post-office postage machine. Without a post-office post mark, the envelope must be received in the Treasurer’s office on or before the due date.
ANY PAYMENT REJECTED BY YOUR BANK WILL RESULT IN A VOIDED PAYMENT AND WILL INCUR A $35.00 RETURNED ITEM FEE.
Due to the high call volume at collection time, the phone may not be answered immediately, emails and voicemail responses may be delayed.
The Treasurer’s Office will not be held responsible if you do not have your tax statement or a total with you to make payments. If there is a parcel that goes unpaid it is the taxpayer’s responsibility and does not lie on the responsibility of the office employees. |
