Confidential, fast-paced office environment. Proficient in mathematics. Ability to
calculate to establish child support amounts using State guidelines and calculate arrearage
due. Ability to multi-task, utilize computer and calculator, general office equipment, and
interact professionally with members of the public and support payors and payees. This
is a full-time position at 35 hours a week. 2025 hourly wage is $24.41, with excellent
benefits including participation in the Public Employee Retirement Fund.

MARSHALL COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
POSITION: AREA LEADER
Responsibility:
Responsible for proper maintenance and repair of County roads within a designated township but not limited to, using a wide variety of vehicles and equipment. Incumbent performs duties under immediate supervision with flexible, customary routines. Care and skill are required in the operation of trucks and equipment to ensure safety of self and others and to protect County property.
Job duties include:
Knowledge and use of heavy equipment; inspecting road conditions, removing debris and animals from assigned area; snow removal; trimming and clearing of brush; cleaning culvert ends, patching roads, cleaning ditches and tiles; operating hand/power tools, machinery/equipment, using a 2-way radio; maintaining and recording hours on the daily work sheet; and other duties as assigned.
Preferred skills:
High school diploma or GED; Must be 18 years of age; Possession of a valid Indiana driver’s license and demonstrated safe driving record. Possession of or ability to obtain Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) before hiring.
Ability to meeting department hiring requirements, including passage of medical examination and drug testing.
Knowledge of applicable safety precautions; ability to apply such knowledge.
Comply with employer and department policies and work rules, including, but not limited to, attendance, safety, drug-free workplace, and personal conduct.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, other County departments and the public being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities and disabilities.
Ability to work alone with minimum supervision and others in a team environment.
Ability to work extended hours, including evening and weekend hours.
Ability to respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis from an off-duty status.
Moderate physical effort exerted in operation of equipment, lifting objects weighing more or less than 25 pounds.
Incumbent will work in various weather conditions, with exposure to fumes, odors, dust, dirt, and chemicals.

MARSHALL COUNTY PROBATION DEPARTMENT
POSITION: FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES COUNSELOR
Job Category: Professional
Status: Full-Time
The Marshall County Probation Department employs two Masters level mental health
counselors for specifically addressing the mental health needs of juveniles and their
families with the goal of minimizing anti-social behaviors and limiting future contacts
with the criminal justice system.
Qualified candidates would have a Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social
work, or a related field and at least two years of practical counseling experience
preferred.
Applicants must have good communication skills, need to possess excellent
organizational skills, and can work with confidential information in a professional and
ethical manner.
Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. The desired
professional would have at least two years’ experience and possess a valid Driver's License.
Familiarity with the Juvenile Court Processes is desired, but not mandatory. Rate of pay
is based upon the approved Marshall County job classification up to $51,669.80.
A criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen are required.
